Do Teachers’ Qualifications and Experience Influence Academic Performance of Students in Basic Science in Junior Secondary Schools in Nigeria?

چکیده

This study investigated the influence of teachers’ qualifications and experience on students’ academic performance in basic science junior secondary schools Nigeria. The was a descriptive survey type research. Simple random sampling used to select eight Junior Secondary Schools (J.S.S.) Ogun East senatorial district State. It included 18basic teachers 540 school students. data were collected using questionnaire achievement test. analyzed statistics, one-way analysis variance Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. findings this revealed that most at J.S.S. level not trained as teachers; influenced science; years teaching did have positive correlation with science.
